Soils Project for Secondary Schools

The Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce, in partnership with the EPA and Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine is launching a new Soils project in Ireland and inviting interested teachers to take part. Participating teachers can avail of online training, curriculum relevant resources and have an opportunity for their class to be visited by an expert from the Department!The project is being run as part of the international GLOBE (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment) programme and aims to encourage students to carry out soil investigations, enter scientific data on the GLOBE website and undertake Soil activities.
