New Website

iastasigninOur new website is here and it’s jam packed full of new features. Along with our new logo, IASTA wanted this website to signal a new direction for the organisation, producing an online space that is more practical, more useful and more resourceful for teachers of Agricultural Science.
The new website has been designed and built from scratch, by IASTA member Humphrey Jones, and has a number of new features. Most significantly is the dedicated Members’ Area, accessed via a personal password. This will allow IASTA members pay and renew their membership online and provide them with a wealth of resources for teaching Agricultural Science. The Members’ Area will also include a Media Gallery with access to a wide range of relevant video and photo content. There will also be a Forum, allowing members share their ideas, resources or to ask for advice on the subject. It is hoped that the Forum will prove a valuable resource and we will urge all members to use it frequently. Also in the Members’ Area will be a series of links to useful and practical websites and a series of PowerPoint Presentations on various topics to aid in teaching and learning. Members will also be able to view details of IASTA events, including our Annual Conference, and will be able to registrar online for most events. The website will continue to provide IASTA news, competitions and events on our News section. IASTA will issue a regular eNewsletter, which can be subscribed to via the website.
Along with the website changes, we are also rolling out a new Facebook Page, allowing members connect to the association easily, and a YouTube Channel, containing dozens of videos relevant to the organisation. IASTA are also on Twitter (@AgScience) and our Twitter feed will feature in our website.
The online membership will go live in the next few weeks and current members can expect an email detailing how to subscribe online. The Members’ Area will launch at the same time and will grow and develop over the coming years. We hope you like the new look website and the new features. Let us know what you think.
